Om mig I'm a graduate student in philosophy, currently working on my Ph.D. at a school that is almost entirely focused on science & engineering. My emphasis is on political philosophy and ethics, but I also have a tender spot for logic. Currently I'm focused on issues of social choice theory and democracy.

My taste in books tends to vary with my mood. While philosophical reading is generally determined by whatever I'm working on at the time, leisure reading is more sporadic in terms of genre, author, etc. (wait... grad students get leisure time?!?)

Om mit bibliotek Always a work in progress - that sorta comes with neuroticism. You can find my favorite fiction tagged as "pure genius," and whatever I'm reading at the moment tagged as "currently reading." I have a second profile here, where I'm slowly cataloging all of the various philosophy journal articles I've collected over the years. I also have a WikiThing page, which is currently a work-in-progress.

My library doesn't reflect all the books I've read, nor even necessarily all the ones I've enjoyed. I went through a home fire several years back, which means I lost quite a few of the books I loved dearly. Some have been replaced, but most have been left missing because I'm usually more interested in reading something new than in rehashing an old fave. With the exception of a very few books tagged as "lent to..." any book that is listed in my catalog is physically present in my home.

My rating system corresponds to letter grades - 5 = A, 4 = B, 3 = C, 2 = D, and 1 = F. In other words, 1's & 2's were really bad (and consequently, not many of them remain in my library for very long); 3's were average; 4's and 5's I really enjoyed.
