hi & thanks for the tip - actually lot 49 was my first p book and i loved it. btw you have an impressive, eclectic library - "not well read"?!? i know many of your titles, but prefer schulz to kafka - he's softer and dreamy, a chagall of literature... wow, mishima - know the temple of the golden pavilion + the sailor who fell from grace with the sea? he's also written a beautiful play, madame de sade. good luck fiction hunting!

Gee, I tried to reply once, and the computer lost the text. Anyway, thanks for writing. Actually, I saw your message a while back, but didn't get to replying until this evening.

Yeah, there are a few liberals around Manchester. But we're actually not from here. We moved here from Minnesota (we're not from there either). By the way, I'm secretary of the Western Washtenaw Democrats (www.wwdems.org). We're always trying to attract new members, so if you're interested, check the web site)

I noticed that our libraries overlap a little. Besides what Librarything lists, I have a couple I haven't catalogued yet (like Amerika - the German version, by the way), one or two I read, but don't have any more (A Separate Peace), and some stuff that I have under a different name (Gertrude Stein's stuff).
