Om mig When people ask me where I’m from, I answer that I was born and raised in the North (Portland, Maine - that’s why I talk funny) then refined in the South. A former human resource specialist with additional background in process refinement and quality control, I’m now retired and have plenty of time to read. I have lived in several Maine towns, North Carolina, Michigan, and now call Florida home.

Even though I am a fan of romance and historical novels, my library includes a broad range of fiction and non-fiction materials. A love of children’s literature cultivated as a child, parent, grandparent, and 4-H leader continues to this day. I dream about writing the great American novel, but never seem to get beyond the dreaming stage. So far my writing has been limited to essays, newsletters, workplace manuals and training materials, blogging, and of course book reviews.

A youthful longing to have a personal library has materialized into a houseful of books that includes a library/media center. My e-book library has reached over 200 books and is still growing. E-books are portable and a wonderful addition to a paper library. In addition to LibraryThing, my reviews may be read on my blog, Reading with Muzzie and on Fictionwise.

Om mit bibliotek divided between fiction, non-fiction with a growing number of e-books, mostly fiction. I am still in the process of entering into LT's database

I just read your answer on the early reviewers group. I have to say that I was very impressed that you spoke up on the side of reason. I am truly at a loss as to why someone asking a question is such a big whop. If you find the question annoying or rudimentary, why not just skip over and ignore it. Why do you have to be rude about it and justify it by saying that you think the person asking was being lazy? Websites like LT are about socializing with people with similar interests, if you are too irritated with a question, then you may need to take a chill pill. Anyway thanks for responding with such grace and sanity.
Delighted to find you via a sensible response to someone who was griping about answering questions from new folks. (And we share "Tryst," a book that still moves me even tho I'm old and have reread it many times!)
