I think it's awesome that you're on librarything!
Correction: we also share Mastery, Tyranny, and Desire by Burnard, Sweetness and Power by Mintz, and Cod by Kurlansky!
We share Slave Revolution in the Caribbean, 1789-1804: A Brief History with Documents and The Libertine Colony: Creolization in the Early French Caribbean. I can't help but think we've attended the same conferences (Atlantic Seminar at Harvard?).
Well, hello John!

Your name comes up at the top when I click the "weighted" tag on users with our books. It must be the Forster/Ranum influence of Hopkins.

I've been navel gazing at the process of entering our books and thought it was time to use the social tools of Library Thing to actually be social. Glad to see that your book is out and that a fellow Hopkinsite is here at LT. I hope Jacksonville is treating you well.
