Om mig I started buying books because you can't smoke in libraries and now I've quit smoking. So I buy books to replace smoking in a way, because I can't go to coffee shops and watch anyone smoking or even smell it for too long. So I like libraries now that I can not afford the books they contain. I go to book stores and library sales and try finding things online and sometimes I get lucky. I'm worried about moving them because I don't get paid that much.

We share some the same tastes in poetry-- Tate, Gluck, Simic, Dean Young among others. If I might be so forward as to suggest someone, earlier Goldbarth is wonderful. You have an impressive collection of poetry.

"As it is, she is sort of smooshy and they are all love poems and they try to be something in leather but really it's not that, it's sort of nothing they way the poems are and the way she was too young to have them in print when they were printed, so the book is ehh and ehh and oh well."

I laughed, and laughed, and laughed. You just saved me the trouble of forcing myself to read this book someday and then forcing myself to come up with a similar paragraph to convince myself that it wasn't all a complete waste of time, x100 similar occasions in the past.

You like Stein, I'm guessing. I never really understood how -fast- that way can be; something I rather envy right now.

Thanks for your kind comment, dawnpen. About Commons: I had a hard time with it at first, but the final section, Pollen Fossil Record, still has me returing to it a year later. And the ideas she explores there helped to open the earlier poems for me. By the by, your poetry collection: amazing.
