Om mig Recently Finished Reading:

Om mit bibliotek These are books I own. I think I've almost finished entering them all. Of course, I plan on continually expanding my library.

I don't keep an online wishlist because the only way I can keep mine to a reasonable size is by losing my list every few years! :)

Hi Christina - thanks for the welcome. We probably have more books in common - I still have 10 boxes of male and foreign language authors to enter, not to mention the stuff in storage. I'm purging as I go - shall I let you know which Viragos didn't make the cut? I prefer to give them good homes whenever possible.
You're welcome. XXXXX Lois
Christina, I just wanted to say thank you for sending The Infernal World of Branwell Bronte. I can't wait to read it. I too know very little about the Bronte brother but I am excited to learn more. Thank you, Maren

Oh and thank you for putting together the group list.
Thank you for this information re adding pictures. I feel rather sheepish, since it was there right in front of me all along, and I did note -- and proceeded to do -- the process for other pictures I added. I suppose now I will need to go back and check whether I made the same omission elsewhere.
You are very welcome. How can one resist putting books in the hands of people who will love them? :-)
Thank you, thank you, thank you, Christina for sending Company Parade. I've been wanting to read this for a while... and such a lovely green Virago too! (For some reason I was expecting a Penguin!) Looking forward to making a start on it when I finish Gaskell's North and South.

Do let me know if there's anything that I can look out for you here in the UK. I'm hoping to visit a village in Scotland in the Summer which apparently has a good selection of second-hand bookshops including one with a emphasis on Women's writing. Sounds promising!

One last thing. I was interested to see that we have Pema Chodron and Plato in our shared books as well as the expected Viragos!

Yet more Thanks!

Bless you, my child, for responding to my request for translation. My elementary French told me that "mange-tout" meant "eat all" -- but I thought the term might have referred to some kind of special appetizer. Thank you!
Yes, we'll be publishing The Old Man and Me next year. I thought I'd be crafty and tag some of the forthcoming books in contract NYRB—and see if anybody noticed!
I feel honored to be added to your list of interesting libraries.
Christina - Thank you, thank you. I got Time after Time in the mail today along with your note. I cannot wait to dig in. It sounds like a great read. I just wish I could take a week and do nothing but read! I also got your comment about the list your creating and that information is perfect. Rachel
It does make a trip to Houston more tempting but maybe when it is not summer. My sister and her family are actually in Seabrook which is sort of the NASA bedroom community, yes my sister is a NASA scientist, and my Mom moved down there to be near my niece a few years ago. I didn't realize Eurydice was down there too. Do you know each other in the non-virtual world? I have a feeling first on my travel itinerary is a belated honeymoon to England this fall but I may make it to Houston again in the winter. It would be fun to see you guys when I do. Maren
