Om mig With the first money I ever earned, I bought a book. I don't remember how I earned the money - but I still have the book - A Little Treasury of American Poetry. I must have been about ten, my love of books has remained a constant pleasure all my life. I have hauled my books from California to Japan, to Berlin, to Heidelberg. When they begin to pile up on the floor near my bed, or beside a bookcase, I tell myself I can't buy any more books until I somehow dispense of a few. Of course, I cannot dispense or quit buying, so I solve my problems by buying yet another bookcase. I now have thirteen bookcases, mostly antiques, but a couple IKEA, to house my book collection. Of course, as this whole business gets closer to retirement and I see myself moving into a small apartment, the thirteen bookcases and their precious contents will somehow have to be reduced. How can that be possible?

I am a mother, grandmother, avid reader, poet, and English teacher, currently teaching AP Eng Lit&Comp, AP Eng Lang&Comp. Although my poems appear in several anthologies, I have yet to have them published in their own book. That's a goal.
