In that estimate and in what I usually call "my library" I'm now including my wife's collection. Her books are fewer in number but complementary especially in literature, linguistics, philosophy, and mathematics. For a while we shelved them separately but after a few moves and a few years ... :)
By the time our library is my LibraryThing, you might see 1,000 entries. BG

Part of Library Thing to me is that I'm considering giving most of my books away. My wife has encouraged me to shed the dead trees for a few years now, to find a school they'd help and donate them. My decision depends in part on whether Google Book Search, Amazon Online Reader, et al. can cover the use I make of most.
After spending some time with the friendly old fire hazards and this site, I'll know better if I can let mine go and prospective beneficiaries will know better if they're interested. BG
