Om mig A time-challenged grandmother, reader and former librarian who
loves picture books.

Om mit bibliotek This is not my personal library but a record of my reading - some I own and some are titles that I have borrowed and read through the years. I'm now moving into the 21st century and transferring my written reading log into a digital format. Now I can classify, sort, search and easily retrieve details of favourites read long ago.

BAIT is our Yrs 8-10 reading program. It stands for "Books Are Interesting Tools". A Grade 8 student won a competition we ran 5 yrs ago and came up with it.
Hi there. Was just browsing your catalogue and noticed you have some Sonya Hartnett novels. I love her books and find it pleasing to see that others do to. What do you think of her? I absolutely adore her writing.
Interesting to see some of the books listed - so many different memories, and some that I think might suit the grandmother mode (Shirley Hughes?)or are these just an occupational hazard? And do the Steven Covey books really help you manage the time to read, cook, self-improve, develop IT savvy, spend time with family, and work too?

After receiving '1000 Books to Read Before You Die' for Christmas, I see I have a lot to catch up on!!! And many to add to a blank list too!
Hi, Thanks for the invitation to Australian LibraryThingers, I was surprised it has been so long since I've logged in, I've noticed the changes distantly while I've been studying.
I see you have Mama's going to buy you a Mocking Bird by Jean Little. It was one of my favourites as a child. Have you read any of her other books? I also enjoyed the ones about Anna and Rudy though I cannot remember the names of them at the moment.
Thought so (although it was a bit difficult to tell behind those amazing glasses!). I teach at Kotara High in Newcastle.

Hi!
We are from NSW too (Paul was going to change our profile to say that. I noticed you yesterday (checking out who else had Learning for the future)- your initials aren't JB are they?
Liza
Thanks! I decided to catalogue all my kids' books because of the ability to sort by tags--I teach using an emergent curriculum, and often need a book about something odd--like string--that I could never find using a regular card cataloguing system. :-)
