Thanks for the link. The translations are over a century old (1901 or before) and are probably quite antiquated. There are several more recent such books in my listings which have much more accurate translations based on archaeology and better understanding of cuneiform grammars and syntax. There are even more recent books, too, which are better than those, likely.

Re Babylonian and Assyrian Literature by Anonymous in you library. This seems like a book I might be interested in. However, I am unable to find any review or synopsis of the book by Googling the ISBN number. Can you give me some information about this book...publisher, editors so I can find some specific information as to the structure and scope of the particular one you've listed.
Thank you,
John Hindsill

Meanwhile, John McPhee is a wonderful writer, and *Annals* is a collection of five (I think) of his books. I've read some excerpts in anthologies, liked them, so this one is higher up on the Aconcagua slopes of Mt. Bookpile. I see that you own it; maybe you'll let me know how it is. In fact, I see that we have in common some of my more respectable books. Good for both of us!
