Om mig Life long reader and I'll read just about anything!

Om mit bibliotek In 99, I started keeping a book journal on my computer and last year, I lost every bit of it in the dreaded crash. So finding Library Thing was in the cards for me. I've been slowly regaining snippets of information about books I've read, thus the tags for dates before LT existed. It's nice knowing my info should be safe here!

we share 170 books and we also share a love for elizabeth berg! cheers!
Another author that I closely associate with Elizabeth Berg's writing is Kaye Gibbons... she doesn't necessarily have the same hints of humor that Berg often shows, but her writing is beautiful. My favorites of hers are: "On the Occasion of My Last Afternoon" and more recently "Divining Women" -- her books are the same for me in that once I start, I can't put it down until I stop.

I'm currently reading "Foreign Correspondence" by Geraldine Brooks. I just finished "Year of Wonders" a couple weeks ago and loved her writing; I'm going to the National Book Festival in DC in September and she's going to be there, so I'd like to read as much of her writing as I can before that.
Hi avidreader.... I see that we share a love of Elizabeth Berg (and many others) -- I went to Chicago a few weeks ago for a book fair to meet Elizabeth Berg and Augusten Burroughs -- I'd seen Augusten a few times, but never Elizabeth, and she was so delightful in person -- definitely worth the trip. I also wanted to recommend a hysterical memoir called BITTER IS THE NEW BLACK by Jen Lancaster -- it's a must read, and is very quick. You can check out her site at jennsylvania.com to get an idea of how she writes. Enjoy!
Looks like someone besides me might be addicted to Patterson and Sparks. :-)
