Hey Amanda --
I rarely check LibraryThing and just saw your comment from last fall! I survived SI - yay - and am gainfully employed. I love how all this web 2.0 stuff lets us stumble upon each other in new ways! Hope things are going well -
Nicole
I've started a group thats dedicated just to discussing HP and the Deathly Hallows. its called HARRY POTTER AND THE DEATHLY HALLOWS ONLY. We could all post about the last book there so that is will be contained and we won;t have to worry as much aobut spoilers. Join when you finish the book.
Hi, Amanda ~ I was just reading some old comments left on my profile page and saw one you wrote me about Artemis Fowl and just had to let you know that I listened on audio to the first one and absolutely loved it! I have to say, the beginning was a little slow, but I'm glad I pushed through it because as it went on I didn't want to stop listening even to sleep! So, thanks for the recommendation. I'll be listening/reading all of the series in the months to come. :)

Mary
Thanks Amanda, yeah, I'm looking forward to the rest of the series. Artemis had been so much fun to discover when I'm so impatiently waiting for the next Harry Potter! :-)

Katherine
Argh, I barely even started Wide Awake. I can't wait to read it because David Levithan is one of my favorite authors, but finals hit at school and I have a YA notable books committee meeting in a few days that I haven't done all the reading for yet...

That's what Christmas break is for, right? (Smiles hopefully)

Jennie
Thanks for the tip on Artemis, Amanda! I'm always looking for new authors, series, and audiobooks, because Lord knows I don't want to run out of things to read (as if ~ my tbr and tblt piles are teetering toward the sky!)! :D
Hey! I can understand where you are coming on from on Saphera's voice. I didn't like it either, but I started listening to Eragon before I read it, so I didn't have an imagined voice to think about. I couldn't listen to those books fast enough. Happy reading!

Thanks Arak,

I'm really looking forward to starting 'Raven's Gate' (it's next on my to-read list).
:)
Hi,

I've just set up a new forum, Children's Fiction, for readers and writers and I thought you might be interested in joining. There are several boards, including general fiction, Sci-Fi and fantasy, flash fiction and a board for chatting about anything and everything.

Please check out the forum:

Children's Fiction

Thanks,

Shelagh
