Om mig I'm 24 lost my way in life not having had my plan to be a minerologist work out, so now i'm unemployed and look after my grandad on a weekend. My next plan is to be a librarian but without some money ie. a job I can't move forward with that.

After books my second hobby is my mineral/gem collection, I even have a diamond courtesy of my ex-fiance, I extracted it from the ring when he left me for another woman.

Om mit bibliotek I like Fantasy and Science Fiction mostly, nearly exclusivley. Although my Mum has a lot of classical stuff by Austen, Hardy, Brontes, and Defoe that I can read

There are 100 or so childrens books which I read as a child on this list (that are now my younger brother's books) quite a lot of Blyton.

I did a degree in Geochemistry hoping to be a minerologist, so there are a few books related to that as well.

My Book list was in an Excel document and I transfered them over here using the ISBN's in a week or so, but as most of the data came from Amazon, I had to fix a lot of it. Should be mostly fixed now covers, names, dates etc.

If you want to see The Girl From Tomorrow, it's available here - Girl from Tomorrow. You will need a bittorrent client (utorrent is good) and be willing to wait for it to download. Of course, I can't condone any of this....
JNTHN STRNG & MR NRL. . . .yes, it's long, but veryvery good! I hope you will enjoy it!!
I have found quite a few of the books i lost but have a lot less space than i used to have so have to be more selective in what i reacquire. I have a large collection of Rocks & Minerals along w/ postcards, Beanie Babies & coins among others. My daughter, SiL & granddaughter live w/me in our double-wide manufactured house & i still rent a storage unit-but am trying to downsize so my family does not end up inheriting a bunch of stuff they don't need! The largest # of book on one subject in my library is 90 books by/or about Tolkien &/or his works, life etc. My favorite Discworld book so far is [Guards, Guards] & i love [Good Omens] & have read [Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy] & [Restaurant at the End of the Universe] both of which i very much enjoyed. Since i'm now retired trying to catch up w/a TBR pile that is out-of-sight! Went to college in my 40's & read only non-fiction until the last 10 years or so-now mainly Fantasy. Wish that i'd studied Library Science when i was in college! 8^)
Hello Musereader: I have been looking @ your library, which is 3X the size of mine, & we have 50+ books in common. I was interested to see where you had studied minerology, as i started out to be a geologist & ended up an Earth Science teacher. So, as a result there are a lot of rock & mineral books in my library. Were it not for a house fire 2 & one-half years ago my library would probably be the size of yours. I also noticed that you are in the Pratchett group & have many of his books as have i. Found your posting on GD about childhood reading & can relate to getting into trouble for reading when i was supposed to have been otherwise occupied; most especially when i would hide out in the only bathroom at home & read until one of my sibs would pound furiously on the door while bellowing to Mother about my inconsiderateness. So i would ike to know if you would like to put me on your friends list as we seem to have things in common? Hope that you are having a great day & i shall be attempting to do the same. Vanye 8^)
Best of luck with your grandad, Musereader.
*hugs*
Hi there
I noticed from the combining history log that you'd recently combined some of the Robert Silverberg Legends Volume 1 items. Letting you know that some of those are actually only half the vol. 1 (kind of books a & b of the larger TB/HC). They have similar titles but should be separate from the full book.
I've separated them out, but thought it polite to explain why for future reference. Any questions, please feel welcome to send a comment, thanks ryn

PS. I noticed we have a few books that overlap, especuially in fantasy/science fiction.. I'd noticed you had some Chelsea Quinn Yarbro books. I'd welcome your opinion on her books as I've seen them instore but they're not at my library. Cheers, ryn
