Om mig • pronoun first person sing. 1 used as the object of a verb or preposition or after ‘than’, ‘as’, or the verb ‘to be’, to refer to the speaker himself or herself. 2 N. Amer. informal to or for myself.

— USAGE The pronoun me should be used as the object of a verb or preposition, as in John hates me or Come with me! It is wrong to use me as the subject of a verb, as in John and me went to the shops; in this case I should be used instead.
use me! use me!
— ORIGIN Old English.

Happy now? I added a book:-)

Only a few more to go.
Oh good! *starts plotting*

Heh..it is very Sthn Hemisphere isn't it? The old Auckland Villa - cold and draughty in winter, hot and muggy in summer. Hehe...hubby is from Nebraska, but he fits right in here, even right down to the light-hearted America-bashing. (And Aus/NZ bashing).

What was I doing up? My sleeping patterns suck. I'm up late lots, like a bad girl waiting up for a father christmas that doesn't show, all year round. *quietly weeps*

Ash - ooh geddit geddit. *Raves about Ash some more*
Ooh I just noticed you have Ash by Gentle! And that you're saving it for later. Let me enthuse about it - one of my favourites, absolute favourites. I hope you enjoy it, when you read it.
I guess we have different editions of LOTR & The Hobbit, LOL!!!
Yes, as a welcome home present we have left you one billion posts to read. Actually, that seems kind of low for us. When you are around, I think it averages about two billion :)

I hope you had a nice vacation!
Are you on your vacation already? You have been very quiet. Don't tell me you are working!

What is figjam? Is that what you like on your toast, jam made out of figs? Or is it maybe like FIGWIT? Frodo Is Great, Just A Minute?
Sorry Mr. A I believe i am done for now... I apologize in advance for all posts that are ludicris as i have been up for over 24 hours...
Thanks for the request, Andrew. I really should start using this site some day. I bought a scanner from LT last year, and still haven't scanned in my books. I think I'm afraid to find out how many books we really have in this house, and have to sign us up for "book hoarders anonymous" or something. ;)
thanks, I'm still working on it, it should be truly impressive by the time everyone else wakes up.
I take it you are not anywhere near the Tornado touchdown? I hope not anyway.
Every time I see a post of yours, it makes me smile! Thank you , and keep up the good work!

kath
Intersting description of your library. ;)

I just wanted to say I'm glad LT works for you today! I saw the downtime message yesterday. I hope it wasn't down longer than they'd guessed it would be.
PS I have been gone all weekend and since then I have been working on the blog. I hope no one has longpostitis! As it is, I may never catch up. I will have to post on the Ahahahahah post if I ever do.
Mr. A-

Thanks for leaving comments for my students. One class is going on tomorrow and the rest next week. I can't wait to show them! They will be so excited, especially getting a comment from Australia! Hopefully there wasn't much comma misusage :) It is hard for me, but I really hold back and emphasize that they need to check and correct their own work.

Thanks again!
Compski
2 bits, 4 bits, 6 bits a peso!
All for Zorro, stand up and say so!

Yes, I love that movie. :o)

Now where can I stick figjam on the threads?

Cristina
You can't be, I hate liver, chopped or otherwise, and you I like :)

Of course we are friends! We dont need no stinkin' list! lol
LOL! I had said ululate.

Let's see if you get this reference: "You have never heard of the ships in the field? The little...baa baa baas?"

I knew it was a sheep, I just thought I had seen it in a book. I practically reread one book that I was certain I saw that reference in. Thanks for that. 8-}

Will you use your powers of suggestion for good...or evil? (I think Mar has determined "evil") :o0

Cristina
Wait! Maren jogged my memory a little.

Was that a Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference?
figjam?

Please tell me where I heard the ungulates line! It's making me insane! I know I've heard it but I can't remember where.

Have pity on the stretched thin mom brain.

Cristina
Ha Ha MrA! Do you think we have annoyed everyone yet? We could be siblings(read evil twins) we are similar brands of goofy.
*waves back to Mr. Andrew*

Glad you made it. You are probably still reading posts. I am always afraid to look after being at work all day, I couldn't imagine after being gone most of a week! Good luck!
Love your "About Me" section above. You wouldn't happen to be a lawyer, would you? :)

Just checking on you, you thought you would be back Friday and I believe it is Friday there, or maybe you meant LT time. Good luck catching up on posts. I haven't been able to get to them until each night, and I has taken awhile to get through everything.

I hope your trip went well,
Compski
As a matter of fact it DOES involve power tools? What's your point? is your wombat jealous?
ok, thanks!
-harry
Hey thanks for the comment MrA! Glad you liked the owl. I'm also glad I took 15 pictures of it to get one good shot. :o)

Peace and Laughter!
believe it or not, at this time of night (in my neck o' the woods) it's only gloss - you're (mostly) safe. :)
you play well with others; i like that about you :)
*smooch on the cheek*
... Boo. :-P

That is all.
thanks
The links are great, MrA!
Thanks for taking the time to put them together! We really appreciate it!

Cristina
Question for you MrA. Are there any Australian radio stations that broadcast online? I thought it would be cool for the kids to hear radio from other countries, so you will be the first of a great experiment. (Unless LadyN gets back to me faster.)

This is a station we listen to that broadcasts online. In case you're interested.

Thanks for your help. You are aiding and abetting my homeschool experiment.

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
sounds fab; i'll make a note... make sure to let suge in on the plan so it goes full-circle!
.yllaer meht ekil I .pots t'noD
Sooo... What's it like in the future? ;)
Sure we can be friends, Meester Ay! ;)
Hehehe! I put the chocolate bunny in the Easter Egg Hunt thread. You'll have to hunt it down. :o)

Oh darn! I forgot to read the fine print before I said I'd be your friend! Oh well, I'll just skip that. It's not like you want me to share world domination with you! Mwahahahahahahahaha!
Ah thank you for the friend request my fellow word loving friend. Of course! I just realised I have been using your name without the trademarke and all the acoutrement and legaleese that ensues forthwith what what huzzah!
Meester Andrew, I am honored to be your friend! You always crack me up!
Course I'll be your friend, Meester Ay. Someone needs to protect you from Smiley. :o)

I can't believe you're the same age as my brother! I get along so much better with you!

You're not doing this just to get a chocolate bunny, are you?

Peace and Laughter,
Cristina
They're archived. But they aren't interesting....
Thank you for the link!
I qualified as Malcolm Reynolds, which wasn´t my first choice,
but niiiicee...:)
It was in close combat with River, and since I´m a girl, maybe
I should check up on my social skills, hmm...
Oh, so you like to fish?
I´ve tried it once or twice, but I´m still a
virgin when it comes to catching one. :)

"Oz is local slang for Australia (or orstraya, as it's"
Orstraya? Right now I would REALLY liked to have
sound so I could hear you say that.

"often pronounced here). There was a "hunk" in Oz? I've
never read the Frank Baum books... might have to add that to my TBR."
Ahem..."hunk"..well...not in the exact
"hunk"-sense...
I am from Sweden, you know.
English is a foreign language for me.
(Have to excuse my stupidiness somehow.) ;)

I think the "hunk" I meant was the tinman that
figured in the book (and in the movie).
I read about it in an wikipedia in English,
and there he was described as a hunk...
thanks.. I like my sparkly kitty too. I have her to honor someone special to me. She passed way one year ago from breast cancer, and her online username and email name was starcat.

:)

Firefly... is that the fantastic sci fi show? Serenity etc?

loved it. my son brought me the DVDs to watch.

have a nice weekend!
"hiya, sorry took me a while to see your comment. I think that there
are one or two more firefly fans lurking out there, you'd be surprised
;-D
Good! I like surprised! :D
I just locked at an episod...
Here in Sweden they are pretty unknown.
They guy who introduced me to it is certain he´s never heard of them.
("You sure you got that DVD from me??"
"Yeah, and you said I would like it - I did! :)")
He still hasn´t a clue, so I better show him some day.

I had to lookup Orust, it sounds cool. Is that the island, or the
municipality? "
Orust is great! Very beautiful, many boats, few books
(only negative thingie, but we are working on that one!). ;-D

Orust is both the island and the municipality.
Oh well. You better see for yourself. :)
http://www.orust.se/genvagar/omorust/oru...

And maybe read a little about it?
http://www.orust.se/genvagar/omorust/oru...

Oz, by the way...
is it:
The fantasyland?
(How is Dorothy, Scarecrow, Hunk and the Lion doing?)
or
A municipality in France?
(Parle vous francaise? Ca va bien?) :)
RE: your rant on GD

" the owners are radical anarchists and are actively seeking to disrupt the petty bourgeoisie approach to sorting books that our society slavishly follows"

Awesome rant.. seriously.. well done!
A Serenity-fan? I´m not the only one? Oh, happy happy me. :)
Gwt /BS

That up there should have been the start of 'Hey Andrew!' but my fingers were one key off. Oops! So this is 'k00kaburra' over at Bookmooch, just sayin' howdy and thanks for all the Angel moochin' you've been doing lately. It's awesome.
Bwa-ha-ha!!
Not even this one???
I did!
You don't have any comments. So I thought I'd leave this one!
You are correct sir... my real name is a quote/song title from Men at Work. My location is also a quote from a song.

"When hearts were entertained in June
We stood beneath an amber moon
And softly whispered 'some day soon"
“Hell is other people”…

I believe that may have been Jean-Paul Sartre. One of my favorite quotes has always been:

“I have always imagined that Paradise will be a kind of library.”

-Jorge Luis Borges

Not that you asked.
i suppose i should consider myself lucky that my stalker is on the other side of the world, stuck walking upside down as we speak...
Testicle? Really?
