Om migAfter winning the prize for the most books read in third grade (over 100), I haven't looked back. I've spent over 33 years as a librarian, initially in the St. Paul (MN) public library, but nearly 30 years as a technical librarian of a major fortune 50 company. I became a librarian because I realized that to progress in physics (my undergraduate major along with international studies) I would have to considerably narrow my focus when my heart said I wanted to learn more about everything. Librarianship fit the bill, I could dig into any topic I wanted to find out more about without any restrictions.

Om mit bibliotekOverall, I tend to collect much more non-fiction than fiction and very often reference type materials. Since joining a book club a couple of years ago, my collection has expanded to include more fiction. I'm also very active in Quaker religious education so part of my collection reflects this interest.
