Om mig Born in China and raised in Canada, I'm currently a 20-year-old university student studying English and Religion. I read everything I get my hands on, and I buy more books than my budget can afford.

Om mit bibliotek I own all the books in my library, and it's embarrassing how few of them I've read, but once I own a book my urgency to read it lessens. I feel like I can take my time. I go through my public library books with their impending due dates much more quickly. Also, I weed out my library fairly often and trade away books that I didn't like so much. That's why most of the books left have very positive reviews and ratings. It's not that I automatically give four or five stars to every book I come across. It's that those are the ones I keep!

Yeah, I've been meaning to try more of Yamada Yugi's stuff. And Shout Out Loud is one of my favorites! I read it waaaay back when I first found out I didn't hate yaoi ^_^; I think I only read it cause the plot sounded so crack but the art looked so down-to-earth, so I wanted to find out what the heck it was trying to DO exactly, heheh. I also read Yoshinaga's Antique Bakery a long while ago too, but I didn't love it like everyone else so I just kind of ignored her from then on since clearly whatever everyone was loving wasn't getting to me. But I ran into another person who didn't like it but still recommended Ichigenme and Flower of Life to me, so I'm going to try her again and see ^^
Aw, thanks! I feel like I'm bean mean reviewing yaoi or something sometimes, since I really WANT to like it but am not wild about the way the whole genre is done most of the time ^_^; Maybe if I look at your reviews I can find more things to my taste!
Nancy,
Thank you, that's very kind of you to offer. You can't though, my rant was because the Canadian giver took it off my reserve and gave it to someone else (in the US). The US user is a friend of mine, and she's promised it to me once she gets it.
I know, big long rant. I'm putting it all behind me though. :)
I'll share your tags once the "who is the mystery smoocher" thing settles down. ;) It wasn't me...well, the second one budrfly9 got was, but none of the other ones! lol

I went to a library book sale today and scored! I picked up two more Fantasy & Science Fiction magazines. Oct/Nov 1994(45th anniversary issue) and Sept 1995. Husband wants to read those and then, if you don't have them - I'll send them along. Lots of other YA titles - I'll put them all on the list when I get it together. Have you read Millicent Min, Girl Genius? It's a really funny pair of YA books - the other one is called Stanford Wong Flunks Big Time about the same series of events through two different characters eyes. Unfortunately all they had was Millicent.

I'm keeping an eye out for Lirael for you!

Brenda
I've already read it and I loved it! Well worth waiting for! I loved all the political manipulations in this book. I think I'll have to reread King because now I'll have a deeper appreciation for it.
Oh, hey I noticed you loved Flora Segunda too!
Nancy,

I mooched Queen, it was hard to mooch while doing a happy dance, but I did it! :)
No hurry, ship when you can.
Here's the magazine for you to mooch:

Thank you again!!!!!!!
Brenda
Oooooh! Yes, please! :) My husband just finished "Thief" and he's looking for "Queen". Guess some people just can't stand to read out of order! Just drop me a comment, or set up an angel mooch on BM, I'm ealaindraoi there too.
I actually looked at your profile last night, I do have one copy of Fantasy & Science Fiction magazine from Oct/Nov 1995. I have no idea where the other copies went (we had a subscription), and it's pretty worn from kicking around my house for 20 years. (but readable, just worn and yellowed). Are you missing that one?

Brenda
Hi, both your angel books arrived this morning. I've listed them here for you to mooch:

No hurry at all - just when you're ready :)
Hi Nancy,

Just wanted to check - will I be waiting until you are back at uni. before you get the book I sent you? Otherwise I am a bit worried it is taking so long - did I tell you I am a worry-wart?

Hope you are enjoying your summer vacation...

L.
Happy to help - I love making someone's day with books. I'd actually mooched a book off the same lady last night (our time) so she will have 3 to send me now. I was just as excited about my find.

Will let you know when I get the books - usually pretty fast here within Australia (within the week usually).

Have a great weekend :) (Friday AM here, so close ....)
I read your review of Bridge of Birds; that was my thumb BTW; very good review. I really want to read it but I wanted to get the other two in the series, and the second one is impossible to find at a reasonable price. Does it work reading it by itself?

There is something severely wrong with this site at the moment, as I didn't get your reply (didn't see it) until today. But no worry, as long as I got it - wasn't sure if you had seen my comment. :)

Our TV is showing The Ruby in the Smoke this weekend so I am madly reading it before I watch it - I have so much recorded I don't want to record that too. What are you reading at present?

Isn't it great to find BM members here; for some stupid reason I enjoy swapping books more with people on both sites as I think my books will be more appreciated - which isn't the case, but it is a good feeling still!!??

Happy reading,
Lyn
Hey Nancy,

Just found you here and had to pop in and leave a message! I like it when I find moochers on LT too! We have quite a few 'shared' too! Hope the book arrives soon,

Lyn
