Om mig I started reading when I was 3...and have been addicted ever since. I loved being able to read and sound things out and was almost murdered by my family when I was around 5 I read everything around me...out loud. It didn't matter what it was road signs, boxes, windows...really I am lucky to still be alive. *lol*

Hi Gail, nice pic! I wanted to give you a head's up on the BIG Chelmsford Library sale coming up. Friday, 9/26 from 9am-9pm; also Saturday from 9-6, Sunday from 9-1 pm. If I didn't tell you last year, it's in an old auditorium which is FULL of books. Friday morning is the best time to go, of course. Just up 495 from you - let's see exit 34/Route 110 go south towards Chelmsford, you should see signs to parking on the left not very long after you get off the highway.

Best, Lois
Thanks Irish! I think you and I are reading in parallel again! I really liked Austenland - it was just a fun, light-hearted book (I've had a rough month with two family funerals so that was the book that got me smiling again). Plus, the main character reminded me of a friend of mine which made it all the more amusing. :) I notice that we're also in synch in recently reading Farworld: Water Keep. I'm really behind on my review writing, but I enjoyed that one a lot as well. Great characters, original story and I'm looking forward to seeing where the series will go.
Hope you had a nice Labor Day weekend!

I love your 'top of the poo pile' category. too funny!
Hey Irish.

Honestly the reason I disliked it is because I got bored reading it. Also I didn't really care what happened to the girls by the middle of book and skipped to the end to read the end. It started good and it ended well but the middle bit I thought was so dull. I love historical novels and understand a little bit of poetic license is required with telling the fictional story, but the author went quite a bit of track from the actual story (I have read a bit about the characters previously). That also annoyed me when reading it. Perhaps 1 1/2 star was a bit harsh but its been a long time since I have skipped chunks of a book or didn't care if I finished it.

Cheers
Casp
Wow, that's a pretty intimidating-looking set of instructions! But I never would have found them on my own. Thanks for directing me!

Hi Irisheyz,
How did you get the THREE column template in blogger? I can't find it!
Thanks!

Been reading your blog and got a good laugh out of your last couple of posts. I must admit i had been doing well not buying wise until the local book store put out a cheap book stand and I picked up Michael Crichton new(ish) book Next. Also I had a "tab" running up on Amazon and eventually I will have to hit the submit button and while getting books i great yea! getting slugged on the credit is bad boo! Ive given up feeling guilty about it I justify it by saying there are a lot worse things you could be addicted too.
