Om mig The poet and translator Danilo Kis died in 1989, but his personal library is kept at the Serbian Academy of Arts and Sciences in Belgrade. The catalogue is public and available here. I thought it would be wonderful to make this exquisite library interactive via LibraryThing.

Hvala vam puno!
Thanks Lola, what nice surprise. Rarely would you get this kind of opportunity. I'll have to mention what you've done to some people I know at Gifts and Exchanges, Library and Archives Canada. Many famous people's collections cross their path, and this would be an excellent way of sharing them.
Merci Lola
very cool!!
What a great idea, especially as I am in Belgrade at the moment. I didn't realise he had written all those books.
Brilliant, Lola! Thank you!
Fantastic idea, Lola. Now I will have to look for his books.

Paola :-))
It is wonderful of you Lola, to catalog Danilo Kis's library. I was introduced to him by the reviews of Susan Sontag (of blessed memory) and admire and love his work and his life. It never occurred to me that one could put someone else's library into LT but it is a super idea. Thanks again.
What a lovely idea, Lola. I've added Kis to my interesting libraries and look forward to watching as his collection is gradually catalogued here.
Wonderful indeed, Lola; Kis was a wonderful writer: I look forward to exploring his collection.
