- John T. Hinds was a preacher among the churches of Christ, and editor of the Gospel Advocate from 1934 until his death in 1938. He is listed in Ligon's Portraiture of Preachers. He spoke on the 1st Annual Bible Lectureship at Freed-Hardeman College in 1937.

Other aspects of the commentary are quite elementary. Very little in terms of probing analysis or interpretation.
If you're interested in the historicist position, such is a good commentary. Otherwise, it is a relic.… (mere)
